2025-2026 Season Preview: Quakers Ready to Build on Momentum
Quaker Valley girls basketball heads into the 2025-2026 season with high expectations. The Quakers return nearly their entire roster from a team that went from 5-16 two years ago to 15-10 last season and a WPIAL playoff appearance.
Leading the way is senior Mimi Thiero, a 6-foot-5 Maryland commit who averaged 23.1 points and 16.7 rebounds per game last year. She enters her final season chasing 1,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds.
Seniors Mia Flora and Lucy Roig bring leadership, while juniors Anna Campbell, Rose Cline, and Maggie Watson all started games and gained meaningful varsity experience. Sophomore Keira Watson, who started every game as a freshman, returns as a key piece of the backcourt.
Coach Ken Johns emphasized the advantage of having so many players back, with a focus on defensive improvement and team chemistry heading into the season.
